The design-patented hexagonal feed hopper immediately puts the Stoneax V a step above the competition. This advantage delivers accurate, high capacity feed to the patented Bi-Flow system and the Hurricane rotor, while the unique design of the Bi-Flow direction arms significantly reduces dust emissions.
The hydraulic console is standard on all crushers, and has a dual function. A simple, foolproof handpump
operates the rotor throttle gate that controls the feed rate to the Hurricane rotor. The same hand pump also manages hydraulic adjustment of the motor mount(s).This makes adjustment to the drive system a quick and simple one-person operation, reducing maintenance downtime and is again standard on all machines. The semi-automatic metered grease system is completely sealed to prevent ingress of dirt and dust, and comes complete with one year’s (2,000 hours) supply of grease.
The motor mounting system is a major leap forward in V design. Combined with the simple hydraulic
adjustment mentioned previously, it results in a 60% reduction in vibration levels through the crusher. There are no restraining brackets to remove or adjust. This ensures smooth operation and longer life for the main drive bearings. Guards are robust, lightweight and are isolated from the crusher base. The unique design also greatly reduces the static and dynamic loading on the drive system. In dual drive applications, 12 groove pulleys are only required on the crusher, with standard six grooves fitted to the motors, making maintenance easier and extending motor bearing life. The motors are fitted with a composite structure cover as standard,preventing overspill material and protecting against heat, water or other weather damage.
The crusher base is fitted with replaceable liner plates as standard. The design helps form rock pockets in the base to provide further wear protection. The unique design bearing cartridge assembly has proven to be a very rugged and maintenance friendly unit.
