The spider and the top and bottom shells are made of shock-resisunt cast steel that provides the high strength-to-weight ratio necessary in primary crushing operations.
High-strength design provides reliable, trouble-free service
The spider arms arc cast integrally with a heavy outer rim that is locked to the top shell through a machined interference taper fit, keeping the spider from coming loose and reducing maintenance requirements. The design of the spider increases the stability and rigidity of the top shell as well. The strong, bolted taper joints ensure assembly and increased reliability.When the spider is removed,the rim liners arc removed with it as one unit,reducing maintenance down-time for liner changes.
A sealed spider bearing cavity with a filtered breather prevents contami-nants from entering the bearing, reducing maintenance down-time and providing long life.
A spider lubrication package provices timed, automatic lubrication of the spider bearing assembly, reducing maintenance.
An optional hydraulic spider separation system provides easy removal of the spider from the top shell. Jack bolts are standard.
An optional top shell rotation system promotes even concave wear in mobile applications using a feeder.
Circumferential ribs in the top and bottom shells provide the strength needed in a primary crushing application without adding unnecessary weight.
